We used Hulshof Hounds and the communication was amazing with the owners. I would get updates on how our little girl was doing. When I had questions about food and other things, they were very responsive. When we went to pick up our little girl, they answered all of our questions and gave us all the paperwork we needed. We searched for a while to find our new furry family member and I am so happy we found Hulshof Hounds. KayCee has been the perfect addition to our family~

We recently received the newest member out our family from Hulshof Hounds. The communication was excellent. We could not be more excited with Layla. She is extremely healthy with an excellent personality. They care so much about the puppies that they have been in contact with us to make sure that she is healthy and happy. We came across Hulshoff Hounds on Pet-finder after looking for a basset hound breeder in Iowa that we could feel good about. Working with the Hulshof family was truly one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived in 2021 to meet their basset hounds, we were welcomed like family,greeted by their children and surrounded by the sweetest, most well-loved dogs. It was clear how much care and responsibility their whole family puts into raising their pups.We chose our beloved basset hound, Diesel, and just a few weeks later the pickup process was easy, informative and quick. Diesel has been nothing short of perfect—friendly, gentle, and the best companion we could have asked for. He is amazing with other dogs and was incredibly easy to train. We credit his wonderful temperament to the loving environment he was born into with the Hulshof family.
To this day, we keep them updated on Diesel, and they genuinely care to hear how he’s doing. Without a doubt, all of our future basset hound pups will come from Hulshof Hounds!

After we lost our rescue bassist hound we realized we couldn’t live without another one. After lots of internet searching, we discovered Hulshof Kennels. From our first email to picking up our puppy Archey we couldn’t be more grateful for the Hulshof family. The care and love they all have for their dogs and puppies is beyond words. The veterinarian care that they provide for all the puppies is out of the world spectacular, and he is so healthy and happy!!! We were treated like family from the first time meeting and always welcomed to come see our puppy till pickup day!!! He has been a spectacular addition to our family and little pack.
